The Warsaw public transport system is reliable. The tickets can be bought at most news-stands. If you buy a ticket on a tram (or bus) from the driver, a surcharge is added to the price. The same tickets are valid for the metro, trams and buses. On entering the car validate the ticket, inserting it (magnetic stripe down) into the validating machine.
