For over 18 years a civil war in northern Uganda has dragged on almost completely unnoticed by the rest of the world. The rebels of the LRA are waging a bloody guerrilla campaign. They abduct children and conscript them as soldiers, forcing them to kill their own people. This documentary presents the lives of four children, from 8 to 14 years old, who successfully escaped the LRA. We follow their attempts to go back to being children again in a society in which they have been ostracised as murderers. The film was made in Pajule, a reception camp run by the charity Caritas that assists child soldiers on the run. The filmmakers have founded the project to help child victims of the war in Uganda.
