Description:
In a mysterious stuffy room around a mah-jong table, there meet a superstitious gambler, a treacherous beauty, a screwed-up husband, an irritating salesman, a foreign amateur, and a horny maid. Each of the players is a small-time crook trying to break out of his or her self-made world of mystery and secrets. Director's statement: "I wanted to use film language to translate Chinese culture and modern life into a fun film for global audiences. If you become curious about mah-jong, feng shui, and Chinese culture, the film has done its job".

Director and writer. He graduated from California State University in Fullerton.'Close Encounter of Mahjong' is his directorial film debut.
