Media Accreditation At WIFF 2011 - Regulations

REGULATIONS

WIFF MEDIA ACCREDITATION IS AVAILABLE SOLELY TO ACTIVE JOURNALISTS WORKING FOR MEDIA WITH A LARGE AUDIENCE (CIRCULATION) AND/OR MEDIA SPECIALIZING IN FILM.

1. MEDIA ACCREDITATION ENTITLES TO:

  • entrance to festival screenings
  • entrance to meetings with film directors and producers
  • individual interviews with filmmakers
  • access to photographic materials related to films shown at the festival
  • a copy of the official WIFF catalogue


ATTENTION! MEDIA ACCREDITATION DOES NOT ENTITLE HOLDERS TO ATTEND THE OFFICIAL OPENING AND CLOSING OF THE FESTIVAL.


2. PHOTO AND TV ACCREDITATION ENTITLES TO:

  • to make photos and/or to shoot TV programmes at the festival area
  • entrance to meetings with film directors and producers
  • individual interviews with filmmakers
  • to make photos and/or to shoot TV programmes at the Opening Gala, Closing Gala and the Awards Ceremony

ATTENTION! PHOTO AND TV ACCREDITATION DOES NOT ENTITLE HOLDERS TO ENTRANCE TO FESTIVAL SCREENINGS

3. APPLICATIONS

3.1. Applications for media accreditation will be accepted from August 1 to September 22, 2011.
3.2. Media accreditations will be issued solely to active journalists working for media with a large audience (circulation) and/or media specializing in film.
3.3. You can request accreditation by:
- filling out an online accreditation form
- sending the filled-out accreditation form (pdf) by e-mail (akredytacje@wff.pl) or by fax +48 22 621 6268, +48 22 621 4647.
3.4. The number of media accreditations is limited.
3.5. Press, photo and TV accreditation is free of charge.
3.6. Accreditations are strictly personal and non-transferable.
3.7. The WIFF reserves the right to reject an accreditation application.

4. TERMS OF ACCREDITATION:

  • filled out accreditation form and passport-size photo (jpg)
  • If you want to recive accreditation for the 28th WFF, please send us your coverage of the 27th WFF to akredytacje@wff.pl until December 15, 2011.

5. PROCEDURE:

Confirmation
When your completed application has been processed and accepted, you will receive confirmation of your accreditation, and more detailed information about collecting the accreditation badge with your photo, via fax or e-mail. Please inform the Festival Press Office immediately about any changes regarding your contact information so that we can communicate all current festival information to you.

Loss of accreditation badges
The loss of an accreditation badge must be reported to the Festival Press Office immediately.

Approval or denial of accreditation
The Festival reserves the right to approve or deny accreditation. The decision is final and cannot be appealed in the courts.

Information for journalists working for multiple media
If you work for diverse media, you must select and specify on the accreditation form the medium for which your badge should be issued. Please attach an extra list with information about the other media for which you will be working.

Important:
The Press Office asks you to send, as soon as possible after publication, printed or audiovisual proof(s) of your WIFF 2011 coverage.

6. FIRST TIME ACCREDITATIONS AT WIFF 2011

If you seek media accreditation to the WIFF for the first time, please contact, before September 5, 2010, the WIFF Press Office by e-mail (akredytacje@wff.pl). In your e-mail, state full contact information for yourself and the affiliation for which you seek media accreditation. Adding information on the circulation of your affiliation and the type of coverage you are planning may facilitate the media accreditation procedure. Following your correspondence, the WIFF Press Office will decide as soon as possible to invite you and send you a media accreditation form.

Requests for media accreditation received after September 5, 2011 will not be processed.

7. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR ACCREDITED JOURNALISTS:

Interviews and interpreters
Accreditation badge holders are invited to contact media@wff.pl to arrange their interviews with attending filmmakers. If possible, interviews take place on a “one to one” basis. There is a possibility - in agreement with the filmmaker - of a photocall and an interview room. For interview schedules with directors of films acquired for distribution within Poland, the WIFF collaborates with the distributors.It is possible to arrange for an interpreter (please let us know in advance).

How to use the accreditation
The accreditation entitles its holder to pick up free tickets to the festival screenings in all venues. The tickets can be picked up at the box office at KINOTEKA, marked "accreditations". The tickets can be picked up the day before the screening or on the day of the screening, but no later than one hour before the screening commences.
