The Committee of Cinema refuses to support the Festival. A couple of months later the Committee is disbanded.
The first press conference of The Andrzej Wajda Master School of Film Directing is held at the Festival. We begin collaboration half a year before School’s opening (May 2002).
"Shot in the Heart“ by Agnieszka Holland for the opening, Director present.
"Last Orders" by Fred Schepisi for the closing. Nik Powell, the film’s producer, is present.
Two French sections are part of the programme: France 2000/2001 and retrospective of Francois Truffaut.
