Po raz pierwszy w programie WFF pojawia się sekcja "Gwiazdy jutra", w której prezentujemy etiudy studentów łódzkiej Filmówki.
Films by students of the Lodz Film School are presented in The Stars of Tomorrow section.
The festival guests are Sasa Gedeon, Mika Kaurismäki, Laila Pakalnina, and Adrian Belic – the screening of his documentary "Genghis Blues" about the fascination of Tuva singing (Tuva is a land in the heart of Asia), is attended by Tuva people living in Poland.
HBO joins the sponsors of WIFF.
"Moja Angelika" (My Angelica) by Stanisław Kuźnik for the closing.
