Since 1995 the Festival is organized by the Warsaw Film Foundation.
“Farinelli” by Gerard Corbiau for the opening. The screening is attended by Ewa Mallas-Godlewska, who recorded the vocal parts in the film.
Beginning of collaboration with the European Film Academy. We present films nominated for the Felix (Felix Films on Tour). We are visited by Marion Doering (currently general manager of the Academy) and Maria von Hoersten.
Retrospective of films by Spanish producer Elias Querejeta.
The festival guests are Zelimir Zilnik ("Marble Ass"), Michael Haneke (The Trilogy: "Die Siebente Kontinent", "Benny`s Video", and "71 Fragmente einer Chronologie des Zuefalls"), and Nicolas Humbert and Werner Penzel ("Middle Of The Moment").
Our mistake in the catalogue (we gave Paul Newman the Oscar for his role in “Nobody’s Fool”) is repeated by others.
